A24 Debuts Nathan Fielder Documentary on Elizabeth Holmes at Telluride
The film "You Can See Everything," directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, premiered at the Telluride Film Festival, offering a two-hour portrait of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes before her imprisonment.
A24 confirmed that the long-rumored documentary by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim premiered at the Telluride Film Festival on Sunday. Titled "You Can See Everything," the film runs more than two hours and follows Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of the failed blood-testing startup Theranos, as she allows a film crew to document her life thirty-four days before she begins a prison sentence.
The festival screened the documentary in the Herzog Theatre, where A24 required attendees to surrender cell phones for security reasons. The film’s logline describes it as an "intimate portrait of an enigmatic felon" that evolves into a three-year exploration of Holmes’s downfall.
Holmes was convicted of defrauding investors and is serving a sentence of over a decade at a federal prison in Bryan, Texas. Her story has previously been dramatized in the Hulu series "The Dropout" and in Alex Gibney’s 2019 documentary "The Inventor."
Both directors have recent accolades: Fielder is known for the comedy series "The Curse" and "The Rehearsal," while Oppenheim debuted his narrative feature "Primetime" at the Venice Film Festival earlier this week. "You Can See Everything" is slated for a theatrical release in October.
