Apple announces upcoming M7-based MacBook Pro models and next-gen touchscreen laptops
Apple announced in Cupertino, California, that it will release MacBook Pro models powered by its upcoming M7 chip and a second-generation touchscreen version in the coming year, Bloomberg reported. Earlier this year Apple unveiled a touchscreen MacBook Pro featuring a PROLED XDR display and upgraded M5 Pro and Max processors, as detailed by Dezeen. The device also incorporated an OLED screen supplied by Samsung Display, according to BigGo Finance, and a lighter refresh with the same PROLED XDR panel was later introduced, 9to5Mac noted.
Apple also revealed new macOS 27 touch-optimised features, 9to5Mac reported. Firstpost said the forthcoming second-generation touchscreen models will use M7 Pro and M7 Max chips in 2026, and BigGo Finance added that Apple simultaneously unveiled its first foldable iPhone Duo with Apple Pencil support.
