Apple launches OLED touchscreen MacBook Pro, starts at $2,899
Apple introduced a touchscreen MacBook Pro with an OLED PROLED XDR display and M5 Pro/Max processors, priced from $2,899 for the 14-inch model, at its Cupertino campus. The device follows a series of recent releases that added touch capability to the MacBook Pro line. Earlier Apple unveiled a high-end touchscreen model priced above $14,500, kept non-touch versions on sale, and offered variants with OLED screens and upgraded M5 Pro/Max chips.
Apple explained a $400 price premium as a result of the PROLED XDR technology. Analysts predict the company will phase out non-touch high-end models and later introduce second-generation touchscreen Macs powered by upcoming M7 Pro and M7 Max chips.
