Nintendo launches Switch 2 Ocarina of Time remake, hopes to lift sales
Nintendo reported a 41% year-over-year decline in Switch 2 sales for the quarter ending September 30, while the company said its newly released Ocarina of Time remake is intended to revive demand during the holiday season. The remake launched on November 5, delivering rebuilt graphics, controls and sound while preserving the original storyline. A $10 preorder discount was available until that date, after which the price was set to rise.
Famitsu gave the game 37 out of 40, praising its camera, controls and graphics. Producers Eiji Aonuma and Hidemaro Fujibayashi said the version balances classic gameplay with modern updates.
