India plans final T20I in Hamilton before ODI series
India's T20I squad announced it will conclude its New Zealand tour with a fifth match in Hamilton before a short rest and a transition to an ODI series, with several players staying in the country for upcoming games. Earlier in the series, India chased down 199 runs in 13. 2 overs to win the third T20I, a victory driven by Abhishek Sharma's 113 and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's 45, giving the team a 3-0 lead.
The side also altered its batting order before the second match, promoting Ishan Kishan and Mayank Yadav. New Zealand later set a new T20I total of 259/7 at Eden Park, powered by Glenn Phillips' century and Michael Bracewell's swift half-century, and beat India by 87 runs. Captain Shreyas Iyer said the team needed time to adjust to the ground's dimensions.
