India loses to New Zealand by 87 runs as captain Iyer cites learning curve
India fell 87 runs to New Zealand at Eden Park, and captain Shreyas Iyer said the side must navigate a learning curve to adjust to the ground’s atypical dimensions and conditions, Cricbuzz reported. New Zealand posted a record total of 259/7, driven by Glenn Phillips’s century and Michael Bracewell’s rapid half-century, to secure the win, Cricbuzz added.
Earlier in the series, India had taken a 3-0 lead with a six-wicket victory, powered by Abhishek Sharma’s rapid 113 and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s quick 45-run knock. Ahead of the fourth T20, the team reshuffled its batting order, with Iyer opting to bowl and the inclusion of Ishan Kishan and Mayank Yadav, as noted by Cricinfo.
