Former RAAF pilot Robert Crawford pleads not guilty to wife's murder
On 27 October, former Royal Australian Air Force pilot Robert Crawford pleaded not guilty to the murder of his wife Frances Crawford in the Supreme Court of Queensland in Brisbane, with Crown prosecutor Chris Cook set to deliver the opening address. Crawford had been charged after Frances’s body was found on their Upper Lockyer property in July 2024.
Prosecutors allege the crime was motivated by multiple affairs and financial concerns, while the defence argues the incident was an accident. The trial, first scheduled for 19 October, follows earlier reports that he would face murder charges in Brisbane.
