Police Probe Gang Links After Teen Killed in Brisbane Pub Shooting
Queensland Police said on 29 October that they are probing possible organised-crime links after 19-year-old Vana-Reise Schuster-Togiatau died from injuries sustained in a drive-by shooting outside Fitzy’s Loganholme pub in Loganholme, southeast Queensland. The shooting occurred on 22 October during a community boxing night, injuring four people and prompting a manhunt for two suspects.
The victim, who had been hospitalized in critical condition, was later identified, and a local fundraiser was launched for her family. The incident followed earlier reports that four people, including the teen, were wounded in the attack, leading police to appeal for information and intensify their investigation into any organised-crime involvement.
