Queensland Police Investigate Gang Links After Teen Killed in Logan Pub Shooting
Queensland Police said a 19-year-old woman died from a head wound after a drive-by shooting outside Fitzy’s Loganholme pub on 22 October, and investigators are probing possible organised-crime links. The incident, which occurred during a community boxing night in Loganholme, initially left four people hospitalized, including the victim, who was in critical condition. Police launched a manhunt for two suspected gunmen and appealed for information from the public.
The victim was later identified as Vana-Reese Schuster-Togiatau, and a local fundraiser was set up to support her family. Earlier reports described the drive-by attack injuring four people and prompting a police search for the shooters. Community members responded with appeals for tips and fundraising efforts while authorities continued to treat the case as a homicide.
