U.S. State Department orders diplomats to leave Saudi Arabia after deadly Houthi strikes
The U. S. State Department said on 22 October that it had ordered certain diplomatic staff and their families to leave Saudi Arabia after Houthi missile and drone strikes on 21 October killed three people and injured several at a Saudi airport and an oil field.
U. S. officials said Saudi Arabia has faced a series of Houthi attacks on civilian infrastructure, and that the United States is scaling back its troop deployments across the Middle East amid rising regional threats.
