Ukraine blames U.S. Starlink limits for intensified Russian attacks, seeks EU aid
Ukraine's first deputy minister warned that Russian attacks on critical infrastructure have intensified after the United States imposed speed limits on the Starshield satellite service used by Ukrainian forces, and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to European leaders for winter energy supplies, air-defence systems and financial aid. Ukrainian officials reported that SpaceX's Starshield service was limited overnight, disrupting drone missions and communications during recent Russian missile strikes. Elon Musk later said the speed and usage restrictions were set by the U. S.
military and the president, a claim that U. S. officials said did not stem from a direct White House order. Following a three-day pause linked to a cease-fire announced by President Donald Trump, Ukraine resumed strikes on Russian oil refineries, including a hit on a Rosneft facility in the Ryazan region.
