Zelensky says US speed limits cripple Ukraine's Starshield drones, Trump denies order
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the United States' speed restrictions on the Starshield satellite communications system were hampering Kyiv's ability to deploy drone interceptors against Russian attacks, and President Donald Trump said he had not ordered any such limits. Zelenskyy had earlier reported that the Starshield service remained only partially restored after a White House directive reduced its bandwidth, prompting a bipartisan group of U. S. senators to ask the defence department inspector general to investigate the limits.
Elon Musk previously claimed the restrictions were set by the U. S. military and the president, and Ukrainian officials had described overnight speed caps that disrupted drone missions and frontline communications during recent Russian missile strikes.
