NBC installs new security layers at Today studio after recent incidents
NBC installed additional security layers at its Today show studio in Manhattan after a series of incidents, including the kidnapping of co-anchor Savannah Guthrie’s mother and an intruder who assaulted co-host Craig Melvin, the network said. The measures follow an earlier breach in which a man entered the studio and confronted staff, prompting the network to tighten security protocols around co-host Craig Melvin and to continue investigating the kidnapping of Guthrie’s mother.
