Irish police hunt asylum seeker suspected in Killarney murder
Gardaí in Ireland launched a search for 28-year-old asylum seeker Ahmad Al-Saqer after the body of Jamey Carney, a 43-year-old New York mother, was found dead in her Killarney rental. The New York Post reported that authorities said Al-Saqer was suspected of killing Carney. Police identified the boyfriend as a person of interest and said he left the country shortly after the killing.
A post-mortem examination, also detailed by the New York Post, concluded that Carney died of suffocation. Police continue to seek Al-Saqer, who fled Ireland, and have appealed to the public for information. The investigation remains ongoing.
