Detroit Lions waive cornerback Terrion Arnold after felony bond hearing
Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold was taken into custody in Tampa on multiple kidnapping and armed robbery counts, according to the Detroit Free Press. He later surrendered to Florida authorities, USA Today reported, while his representatives said there is no credible evidence linking him to the alleged crimes. The New York Post noted that Arnold denied involvement in the February assault that led to the charges.
A bond hearing was scheduled, and a judge set a $1 million bond, NBC Sports said, allowing home confinement without an ankle monitor. Hours after the bond was set, the Detroit Lions terminated Arnold’s contract, CBS Sports reported, and the team subsequently waived him, NBC Sports added.
