The Powerball jackpot has risen to an estimated $750 million after no ticket matched all six numbers in the August 23 drawing. The winning numbers were 11, 14, 34, 47, 51, and the Powerball was 18. The Power Play multiplier was 2.
While the grand prize remained unclaimed, two tickets sold in Maine and New York matched all five white balls, each winning $1 million. A third ticket sold in South Dakota also matched all five white balls and, by including the Power Play option, doubled the winnings to $2 million.
The next drawing is scheduled for Monday night, offering players another chance at the growing jackpot. Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
