Powerball Jackpot Reaches $1.1 Billion for Labor Day Drawing

Summary

The Powerball jackpot has climbed to $1.1 billion for the Labor Day drawing after no winner emerged in Saturday's draw.

The Powerball jackpot has risen to an estimated $1.1 billion for the Labor Day drawing on Monday, following Saturday's draw that produced no grand prize winner. This marks the fifth-largest jackpot in the game's history.

The winning numbers from Saturday's drawing were 3, 18, 22, 27, 33, with a Powerball of 17. While the jackpot remained unclaimed, nine tickets matched all five white balls, each winning $1 million. These tickets were sold in California (4), Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. Additionally, three tickets in Colorado, Indiana, and New Hampshire included the Power Play option, doubling their prizes to $2 million.

Monday's drawing will be the 40th since the jackpot was last won on May 31 in California. The longest streak without a jackpot winner is 42 consecutive drawings, set in April 2024, culminating in a $1.326 billion prize in Oregon.

Players can choose between an annuitized prize of $1.1 billion, paid over 30 years with annual increases, or a lump sum payment estimated at $498.4 million, both before taxes. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.

Powerball tickets cost $2 and are available in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET.
