Meghan Markle in Preliminary Talks for Potential Third Season of Netflix's "The Gentlemen"

Résumé

Sources say the former actress is discussing a possible role in the as-yet unconfirmed third season of the Guy Ritchie-produced series, though no details have been finalized.

Meghan Markle is reportedly in early discussions to join the cast of the Netflix series The Gentlemen if the show is renewed for a third season. The series, created by director Guy Ritchie and starring Theo James, has not yet been officially renewed, and no specific role for Markle has been disclosed.

A Netflix spokesperson declined to comment on the negotiations.

The potential casting comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced plans to spend an extended period in the United Kingdom, after six years of residence in California. Markle and Prince Harry maintain a first-look deal with Netflix, under which they have developed several film and television projects.

The Gentlemen season two, which premieres on September 3, continues the storyline of Ritchie’s 2019 film and follows characters Eddie and Susie as they navigate an expanding criminal enterprise. The series features a large ensemble cast, including Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones and others. Production details list Ritchie and Eran Creevy as directors and a team of executive producers from Moonage Pictures.
