Chloe Fineman Departs Saturday Night Live After Seven Seasons
Chloe Fineman announced she is leaving Saturday Night Live after seven years and is in talks to join Netflix's drama series Myron Bolitar.
Chloe Fineman, a cast member of NBC's Saturday Night Live since the 2019-20 season, confirmed her departure after seven seasons. Sources say she is negotiating to appear in the Netflix drama Myron Bolitar, alongside Colin Woodell, KJ Apa and Diane Guerrero. A Netflix representative declined to comment.
Fineman, who rose to prominence through remote sketches during the pandemic and became known for impersonations of celebrities such as Drew Barrymore, Britney Spears and Timothée Chalamet, said, "It’s really hard to leave SNL but it does feel like the right time." She posted a farewell note on Instagram, thanking show creator Lorne Michaels and the cast.
During her tenure, Fineman contributed to viral sketches like "Snack Homiez" and the "Domingo" series, and also performed voice work for Netflix's "Big Mouth" and appeared in projects including "Despicable Me 4" and "Freakier Friday." In the most recent season, she was the longest-tenured female cast member after the exits of Ego Nwodim and Heidi Gardner. Her exit follows the typical pattern of SNL performers leaving after a seven-year contract, a timeline that differs from longer-serving cast members such as Colin Jost, Michael Che, Mikey Day and Kenan Thompson.
