Seven-Vehicle Crash on Singapore's PIE Leaves Two Hospitalised, Police Search for Suspects
Singapore Police Force and the Singapore Civil Defence Force said a seven-vehicle collision on the Pan-Island Expressway on 29 October left two people hospitalized as investigations continued. Earlier that day, a crash involving two cars and a motorcycle in Tampines killed two people, and police said they were searching for the driver and passenger of a second car that fled the scene. A separate multi-vehicle crash on the SLE injured three people, including one who was unconscious, prompting further police inquiries.
Another incident on the PIE near the Eng Neo Avenue exit left a traffic police officer, a motorcyclist and a car passenger hospitalized. Later, a 64-year-old driver was taken to Alexandra Hospital after his car skidded and rolled on the PIE towards Tuas, with police and SCDF responding.
