Toronto police identify victim in North York stabbing
Toronto Police Service said on 5 November that it had identified the 47-year-old woman killed in a double homicide in North York and confirmed that the other person who died at the scene was the suspect. The deaths occurred near the intersection of Bathurst Street and Finch Avenue West. Police reported that the stabbing took place on 29 October in an apartment parking lot at that intersection.
The woman was critically injured and a second person received treatment at the scene, and officers said the victim and the suspect were known to each other. The suspect later took his own life at the location.
