Un conductor de 33 años empleado por un subcontratista de Metrolinx fue acusado de conducción temeraria que provocó la muerte tras el choque de su camión volquete contra un agente de tráfico de la Ciudad de Toronto en la intersección de Millwood Road y Overlea Boulevard en Thorncliffe Park el 29 de octubre. Según CBC, el agente de 42 años falleció mientras dirigía el tráfico y fue alcanzado por el camión.

La alcaldesa Olivia Chow declaró que la pérdida era trágica y que la ciudad revisará las medidas de seguridad, informó CP24. Tras el accidente, la intersección quedó cerrada.
