Laura Brand testified at Southwark Crown Court, saying she feels seen and loved by her husband and describing him as kind and a devoted father, while Russell Brand continues to deny the seven sexual-offence charges against him, the BBC reported. Russell Brand took the stand for more than four hours, denying three rape, three sexual-assault and one attempted indecent assault charge and stressing that consent is fundamental, the London Evening Standard reported.

He added that he now regards using his fame to secure sexual encounters as wrong and said media coverage has devastated his personal life, the Guardian reported. Earlier, a judge had reduced an indecent assault count to attempted indecent assault, the Hollywood Reporter noted.
