Netflix Docuseries Explores Matthew Perry's Struggles with Fame and Addiction
Mia Perry Bowick spoke about her brother’s personality and recalled memories of the “Friends” cast while promoting Netflix’s three-part documentary “The One About Matthew Perry,” ABC reported. Netflix released the series earlier this year, according to Page Six, which examines Perry’s career, personal struggles and the circumstances of his death through interviews with family and friends but without participation from his former co-stars. Yahoo noted that the surviving “Friends” cast declined to take part, prompting the streamer to rely on Perry’s half-sister and close associates for commentary. Variety added that the documentary details Perry’s battles with addiction, his time in rehab during the production of “Friends,” and the attendance of the cast at his 2023 funeral.
