Jio Platforms' shares jump 21% on Mumbai debut, making it India's second-largest firm
Jio Platforms' shares surged about 21% on their Mumbai debut on 28 October, according to Reuters, valuing the company at over Rs 12. 6 lakh crore and placing it second only to Reliance Industries in India's market-capitalisation rankings.
The shares began trading on the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange after the IPO was allotted to investors on 26 October, following a 22-times oversubscribed offering of roughly ₹30 trillion. Applicants could verify their allotment status online, and refunds were processed for unsuccessful bidders.
