Jio Platforms shares surge 21% on Mumbai debut, India's largest IPO
Jio Platforms' shares jumped roughly 21% on their Mumbai debut on 28 October, trading above the issue price, Reuters reported. The listing followed the allocation of shares to investors on 26 October, as Upstox reported, after the public issue valued at about ₹30,200 crore was subscribed more than 22 times.
India Infoline said applicants could verify their allotment status on NSE and BSE portals, with shares to be credited before the listing. NDTV Profit and Livemint noted strong institutional demand and grey-market premiums that suggested a price above the issue range.
