Jon Husted says Trump's physique remarks spurred fitness focus
Ohio Senate candidate Jon Husted said President Donald Trump's remarks about his physique prompted him to focus on fitness, and noted that a recent poll shows him trailing Democrat Sherrod Brown, The Independent reported. Earlier, Trump praised Husted's athletic build at a rural GOP gathering in Northern Kentucky, prompting jokes from fellow Republicans, CNN reported.
He also evaluated the looks of several candidates at campaign events, praising some and criticizing others, PBS said. Additionally, Trump repeatedly commented on the appearance of male supporters at his midterm rallies, Rolling Stone noted.
