Ukrainian drones cripple Russian courts, hit data centers and oil terminal
The Kyiv Independent reported on 20 October that Ukrainian drone attacks on Yandex data centres disrupted online court hearings in several Russian regions, while Russia intensified strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and Kyiv hospitals. Earlier, Al Jazeera said Ukraine launched more than 1,000 drones against Russian targets, causing fires and casualties and drawing criticism from U. S. President Donald Trump.
CBS reported that Russian forces shot down many of the drones and that a fatal blaze erupted at an oil terminal in St. Petersburg, where one person was killed and several injured. Politico noted that the oil-terminal strike sparked a fire and injuries, and the Kyiv Independent described a nighttime raid that also hit a VKontakte data centre and a bridge in the city.
