Forensic psychologist challenges credibility of Holmes documentary
Forensic psychologist John De La Torre said the documentary “You Can See Everything” misrepresents Elizabeth Holmes and questioned its reliability, speaking on 22 October. The film, directed by Nathan Fielder, premiered on 16 October in the United States and the United Kingdom and quickly earned a perfect 100 % rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 97 on Metacritic. It blends documentary footage with experimental storytelling, includes a controversial full-frontal shower scene, and follows Holmes in the weeks before she reports to a federal prison camp.
Billy Evans, Holmes’s partner, appears in the film and is shown launching a laser-based diagnostic startup in Texas. Former Theranos engineer Tyler Shultz has called the documentary misleading, saying it misrepresents the blood-testing technology and softens Holmes’s image, while other former reporters and whistleblowers have raised similar concerns about its accuracy.
