According to The Independent, Night Live aired its season-52 premiere in Los Angeles on September 27, featuring a cold-open in which James Austin Johnson portrayed President Donald Trump meeting New York mayor Zohran Mamdani while Ashley Padilla played White House aide Natalie Harp, highlighting her perceived loyalty to the president. Earlier in the week, The Daily Beast reported that late-night host Jimmy Kimmel staged a sketch in which an actress impersonated Natalie Harp, underscoring her reported closeness to the president. The Kimmel parody preceded the SNL sketch, which similarly targeted Harp’s association with Trump.
