Artemis II Crew Fixed Multiple Toilet Malfunctions on Lunar Mission
Shortly after launch, the Artemis II crew detected a malfunction in the Orion spacecraft's toilet system. Astronaut Christina Koch, with assistance from Mission Control, took the lead in addressing the issue, successfully restoring full functionality early in the mission. This prompt resolution ensured that the crew could continue their journey without interruption.
Later in the mission, the crew encountered multiple additional toilet malfunctions. They managed these issues by utilizing backup systems and performing further repairs, maintaining the system's operation throughout the lunar journey. These efforts were crucial to sustaining mission continuity and crew comfort during the Artemis II mission to the Moon.
