Packers running back Josh Jacobs charged with misdemeanor battery and property damage
Josh Jacobs faces two misdemeanor charges stemming from a May incident in Wisconsin and may be subject to league discipline under the NFL Personal Conduct Policy.
The Green Bay Packers announced that running back Josh Jacobs has been formally charged with misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor criminal damage to property in connection with a May domestic-disturbance incident in Brown County, Wisconsin. The charges are two of the five originally filed; prosecutors declined to pursue a felony count of strangulation and suffocation and two additional misdemeanors.
Jacobs has remained available for team practices and games since the arrest, but the league’s Personal Conduct Policy could result in disciplinary action, including a possible suspension. > "We have prepared for the possibility of a suspension during the 2026 season," Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said at a press conference.
The Brown County District Attorney’s Office confirmed the filing of the two misdemeanor counts, while no further updates on the case have been released.
