Teen son of former NFL player and reality TV star charged with felony sexual offenses in Georgia
KJ Biermann Jr., 15, was arrested and charged as an adult with aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery after an alleged incident at a Life Time Fitness facility in Alpharetta, Georgia.
A Fulton County magistrate court warrant lists Kroy "KJ" Biermann Jr., the 15-year-old son of former Atlanta Falcons defensive end Kroy Biermann and former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kim Zolciak, on felony charges of aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery. The Alpharetta Police Department says the charges stem from an incident reported on April 23 at the family changing area of a Life Time Fitness center on North Point Parkway. According to police, the teen allegedly met a 15-year-old acquaintance in the facility’s café, led her to the changing area, restrained her and forced sexual activity. The alleged victim was examined by a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and a forensic kit was collected, though tests did not detect male DNA. Biermann Jr. was taken into custody on August 17 and will appear before a Fulton County Superior Court judge in September for pre-trial proceedings.
"The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling. He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged," Kim Zolciak said in a statement posted to a celebrity news site. She added that her son "voluntarily took a polygraph examination regarding these allegations and passed."
