Cracker Barrel Unveils New Logo Amid Rebranding Efforts

Summary

Cracker Barrel has introduced a new text-only logo, replacing the longstanding image of a man resting by a barrel, as part of its broader rebranding initiative.

Cracker Barrel has unveiled a new logo, marking the first significant change to its branding since 1977. The updated design omits the traditional image of a man resting by a barrel, opting instead for a text-only logo that retains the company's classic gold and brown color scheme. This change is part of the restaurant chain's broader rebranding efforts aimed at modernizing its image.

The company stated that the new logo "is now rooted even more closely to the iconic barrel shape and word mark that started it all."

The rebranding has elicited mixed reactions. Some customers have expressed nostalgia for the previous design, while others appreciate the contemporary update. Cracker Barrel's Chief Marketing Officer, Sarah Moore, emphasized the company's commitment to its core values, stating, "We believe in the goodness of country hospitality, a spirit that has always defined us. Our story hasn't changed. Our values haven't changed."

In addition to the logo change, Cracker Barrel has introduced a refreshed fall menu and partnered with country music artist Jordan Davis for a new commercial. To celebrate the rebranding, the company is offering customers a complimentary Classic Side with any purchase on August 23 and 24.

Cracker Barrel, founded in 1969, operates over 660 locations across 45 states. The rebranding initiative reflects the company's efforts to modernize while maintaining its traditional Southern hospitality roots.
