Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8 Features Wider Display in Latest Leak
New leaks reveal Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8, showcasing a wider design and improved aspect ratio, aimed at enhancing video and gaming experiences.
Recent leaks have surfaced regarding Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8, highlighting its distinctive wider design meant to improve user experience for video and gaming. This model, informally referred to as the ‘Wide,’ features a more expansive aspect ratio compared to its predecessors, reminiscent of the design seen in the original Pixel Fold.
The dummy unit revealed in a hands-on leak by Sonny Dickson presents a thin frame that appears impressive in hand. While the actual thickness may not differ significantly from the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the wider aspect ratio contributes to an illusion of reduced thickness. Dickson described it as resembling the thinness of the S25 Edge when folded, although the actual dimensions may not support such claims due to hardware considerations like the USB-C port.
Samsung is expected to market this device as the Galaxy Z Fold 8, while the narrower version will be branded the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. Both models are anticipated to launch later in July alongside new smartwatches and the Flip 8.
