Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra displayed without visible crease in new video leak

Summary

A video shared by leaker Momentary Digital shows the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra's foldable screen appearing crease-free, ahead of Samsung's July 22 launch event.

A video posted on the Chinese platform Weibo by leaker Momentary Digital provides the first real-world view of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The footage, captured from multiple angles, shows the device's foldable display with no visible crease, even while playing video content. Samsung is scheduled to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, along with the Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2, at its Galaxy Unpacked event in London on July 22.

The leak does not reveal how many times the phone has been opened and closed, and experts note that creases can become more pronounced with repeated use. The device is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, include a 5,000 mAh battery, and feature a camera system comprising a 200 MP main sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide lens and a 10 MP telephoto lens with 3× optical zoom. Pricing rumors suggest the Z Fold 8 Ultra could be priced around $2,099, roughly $100 higher than its predecessor.

"Samsung has figured out how to make the Fold 8 Ultra’s display truly creaseless," the leaker commented in the video description.

Further specifications and pricing are expected to be confirmed at the upcoming event.
