This victory marks Russell's first time leading the Drivers' Championship, and it's the first time a Mercedes driver has led the championship since the 2021 Russian Grand Prix. The win also signifies Mercedes' first one-two finish at a season opener since the 2019 Australian Grand Prix.

The final race standings were:

  1. George Russell (Mercedes)
  2. Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes)
  3. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari)
