Morgan Geyser, Convicted in 2014 Slender Man Stabbing, Reported Missing After Leaving Group Home
Morgan Geyser, known for her involvement in the 2014 Slender Man stabbing, has been reported missing after removing her monitoring bracelet and leaving a group home in Madison, Wisconsin.
Morgan Geyser, convicted in the 2014 Slender Man stabbing, has been reported missing after leaving a group home in Madison, Wisconsin. Authorities state that Geyser, now 23, was last seen around 8 p.m. on Saturday in the area of Kroncke Drive, accompanied by an adult acquaintance. She had removed her Department of Corrections monitoring bracelet before departing the residence.
In 2014, Geyser and her friend Anissa Weier, both 12 at the time, lured their classmate Payton Leutner into a park in Waukesha, Wisconsin, where they stabbed her 19 times in an attempt to appease the fictional character Slender Man. Leutner survived the attack. Geyser pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree intentional homicide and was committed to the Winnebago Mental Health Institute. She was conditionally released earlier this year to a group home.
Madison police have released a recent image of Geyser captured on security video and are urging anyone who sees her to call 911.
