Actress Selma Blair arrested after alleged assault on Delta flight
Selma Blair was taken into custody following an incident on a Delta Airlines flight in which she allegedly punched and bit crew members and attempted to open the aircraft door.
Selma Blair was arrested after an incident on a Delta Airlines flight bound for John F. Kennedy International Airport on Sunday, authorities said. According to reports, the actress tried to open the plane’s door while it was in the air, leading to a confrontation with flight attendants. Two attendants sustained injuries, with one requiring hospital treatment. Blair was also taken to a hospital for evaluation, and the FBI is investigating the case.
"The FBI is currently investigating the incident," a source familiar with the investigation said.
The airline and law-enforcement officials have not released further details, and Page Six was unable to obtain comment from Blair’s representatives.
The incident follows previous travel disruptions involving Blair. In 2016, she was removed from a Los Angeles-bound flight after a reported altercation linked to medication and alcohol, and she was taken to a hospital on a stretcher. Blair, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018, has previously discussed biting incidents with other public figures in her 2022 memoir, describing them as impulsive actions triggered by feeling overwhelmed in social situations.
