Khawaja's memoir revives 2018 sandpaper scandal, Bancroft looks ahead
Usman Khawaja's forthcoming memoir alleged that Cameron Bancroft volunteered to use sandpaper to alter the ball during the 2018 Test in Gqeberha, and Western Australia coach Beau Casson said Bancroft was focused on his batting. Khawaja had earlier written that the entire Australian side was aware of the sandpaper used in the final Test against South Africa. Cricket Australia responded by standing by its original integrity findings from the 2018 investigation, while a former ethics director urged a fresh review of the case.
