According to NBC Sports, the San Francisco 49ers announced that they must decide whether to retain, trade or release wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk after his anticipated reinstatement from the reserve/left squad list. Earlier in the week, NBC Sports reported that Aiyuk had filed a reinstatement request and planned to report to the team's facility. The outlet also noted that he had recently retained veteran agent Drew Rosenhaus to aid his return, after initial reports suggested he was close to hiring new representation.
