Former One Nation adviser claims unlawful dismissal after raising internal concerns
A senior former adviser to One Nation said he was dismissed after reporting a convicted staff member’s criminal history and alleged connections between a party official and an underworld-linked strip club, and announced he will sue the party. Earlier, former campaign director Sean Black alleged that billionaire Gina Rinehart and adviser James Ashby were steering the party, claims that leader Pauline Hanson dismissed as “absolute garbage”. Around the same time, Barnaby Joyce downplayed One Nation’s prospects in Victoria and said the upcoming New South Wales election would be the true test, while James Ashby denied any preference-deal negotiations with Victorian Labor, saying his contacts were limited to debate participation.
