Incoming House Oversight Chair Robert Garcia vows Trump investigations
Rep. Robert Garcia, the incoming Democratic leader of the House Oversight Committee, said the panel will launch investigations into the Trump family's business activities and related matters when Democrats take control of the House in January. The announcement follows a series of statements by Democratic leaders after their midterm victories.
Earlier, Democrats said they would pursue aggressive oversight of the Trump administration, covering topics such as the Epstein case, immigration, public health and foreign policy. Incoming House Judiciary Chair Jamie Raskin and other Democratic officials also outlined plans for subpoenas targeting alleged corruption linked to President Trump and his associates.
