El Departamento de Trabajo de EE.  UU. informó que la nómina no agrícola aumentó en 165 000 empleos en octubre y que la tasa de desempleo descendió a 4,1 %, lo que reforzó las expectativas de un aumento de la tasa de interés de la Reserva Federal en diciembre.

Con anterioridad, la empresa ADP comunicó que el empleo del sector privado creció en 86 000 puestos en octubre, liderado por los sectores de comercio, transporte, servicios públicos y educación y salud. Las cifras del Departamento de Trabajo superaron las previsiones y consolidaron las expectativas del mercado de una política monetaria más restrictiva.
