French blood banks' refrigeration systems hit by cyberattack, supplies safe
A cyber intrusion targeting the cold-storage monitoring systems at three French Blood Establishment facilities was contained, and staff relocated blood products to unaffected refrigerators, leaving supplies safe. Earlier, French health authorities reported that attackers raised temperature thresholds in the facilities, causing temperatures to climb and prompting heightened monitoring. The intrusion, which temporarily increased temperatures, was quickly detected and mitigated, preventing any loss of blood products.
