Canva cuts 22% of workforce amid AI cost slowdown
Canva announced it is laying off 1,271 employees, about 22% of its global workforce, citing a slowdown in growth and rising AI costs, the company said from its Sydney headquarters. NDTV reported that the company will provide affected staff with six months' salary, allow them to keep their MacBooks and grant a year of LinkedIn Premium as part of the severance package. Fox Business earlier said Canva would reorganize its operations, affecting the same number of workers, as it adjusts to slower growth and evolving technology trends.
