President Donald Trump said on November 6 that a settlement between Russia and Ukraine was close after his discussion with Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev, adding that he had not met the Ukrainian delegation. The comment followed a series of diplomatic meetings at the White House that began on October 29, when First Lady Melania Trump hosted Russian and Ukrainian officials. She had helped arrange a six-day humanitarian cease-fire in the Oleshky area of Ukraine’s Kherson region, which allowed residents to evacuate and was praised by both sides.

摘要

Both claims received a verdict of not enough evidence. The claim that President Donald Trump stated a settlement between Russia and Ukraine was near after a discussion with Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev on November 6, 2026, lacks sufficient evidence. The claim that President Donald Trump noted he did not meet the Ukrainian delegation on the same date also lacks sufficient evidence.
