Nanaimo Clippers fire executive after child exploitation arrest
The Nanaimo Clippers terminated the contract of former Okotoks Oilers assistant general manager Tyler King on 3 November after he was arrested at a Canada-U. S. border on multiple child sexual exploitation charges.
The club said it had not been aware of the RCMP investigation when it hired King. Alberta RCMP said it had charged King on 1 November with three counts of child luring, sexual exploitation and production of child sexual abuse material involving three former junior-A players, after an investigation identified victims in several provinces. He was detained at the border crossing in New York State following the charges.
