Singapore Airlines launches $2.26 billion cabin refit, delays push rollout to 2027
Singapore Airlines said on 8 November that it was launching a $2. 26 billion overhaul of the cabins on its A350 fleet and the forthcoming Boeing 777-9, citing supply-chain and certification delays that will push the first refits to early 2027. The announcement follows a series of earlier steps. The MileLion reported that on 6 November the airline confirmed a media event to unveil next-generation First, Business and Economy cabin designs for the A350.
CNA Lifestyle later reported a S$2 billion investment to roll out new First-class suites, Business-class seats and upgraded cabins on the A350-900 and 777-9 from the second half of 2027. Reuters added that the overhaul would include larger double-bed suites in First class and privacy doors in Business class, with rollout expected from the second half of 2027. The MileLion subsequently detailed the introduction of new Premium Economy and Economy seats for the 777-9, with delivery expected after 2027.
