ISRO launches NVS-03, restoring NavIC's four-satellite capability

On 30 October, ISRO chief said the NVS-03 navigation satellite was launched using three open pyro valves to ensure reliability at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre. The satellite was placed into geosynchronous transfer orbit, restoring NavIC to its minimum four-satellite configuration and featuring an indigenous rubidium atomic clock. ISRO had previously announced it would launch NVS-03 on night to expand the system and reduce dependence on the U.

S. GPS network.
